This is my camera obscura as shown. I created it from a cereal box, cutting out a large gap in the center to make the aperture of the obscura. I used the cereal bag as the screen and taped it to the front face of the cereal box. Lastly, I used a push pin to puncture a hole in the opposite face of the screen or back of the cereal box to allow the light to pass through and create the inverted image effect which appears on the screen of the cereal box. When I put my camera obscura up to the light, the image was clearly shown and projected upside down on the screen . When I placed it up to my lamp, I saw an image of my lamp upside down or inverted.
Group Camera Obscura Model
Group Camera Obscura as made by:
1. Using a box and cutting a square on the face of the box
2.Taping saran wrap to the square gap of the box.
3.With the push pin, puncturing a small hole on the opposite face of the saran wrap sceen.
4.Taping foil all around the box surround the square gap and screen on the box.
As a group, we improved the camera obscura by taping foil all around the box, so that any excess light would not show through and interfere with the inverted image that will appear on the screen when exposed to light. Taping the foil to the box helped to make the image clearer, as the foil reflected the light and made the inside of the box darker.
